The Event /
Schedule
On 11 July 2026 at 9:00 PM, the Sintra Town Council is organising the Sintra Trail Monte da Lua. The 5 th edition of the event includes one running race and two walks:
- 10K Trail, competitive
- 10K Long Walk, recreational and non-competitive
- 5K Family Walk, recreational and non-competitive
All events start at Largo Rainha D. Amélia, next to the National Palace of Sintra. The SINTRA TRAIL Monte da Lua routes are mainly urban, using streets, alleyways, staircases, tunnels, monuments, gardens, viewpoints, bridges and paths. The Sintra Trail Monte da Lua is predominantly an urban trail.

Routes

Trail Route 10K and Long Walk 10K
The 10K race starts at Terreiro Rainha Dona Amélia and heads towards Volta do Duche, entering through the main gate of Parque da Liberdade. At the second turning on the left, it exits Parque da Liberdade through the Murtas gate, continuing along Travessa Visconde Ouguela, Rua Eduardo van Zeller, Travessa dos Avelares, Escadinhas da Vigia, Rua Rodrigo Delfim Pereira, Rua Dr. Higino de Sousa, Calçada Penalva, Rua Visconde Faro e Oliveira, Rua do Rio da Bica and Monte Sereno. It crosses Calçada da Pena and follows a dirt track up to Pena Palace, then continues along Calçada da Pena, enters the Moorish Castle, exits via Rampa do Castelo, and passes the Church of Santa Maria, Calçada dos Clérigos, Rua Marechal Saldanha, Largo Ferreira de Castro and Vila Sassetti. At the top of Vila Sassetti, it turns right and “keeps to the inside” until Estrada da Pena, descends Estrada da Pena, turns left onto Azinhaga do Vale dos Anjos, enters through the small gate of Quinta da Regaleira, and continues along Avenida Almeida Garret, Largo Dr. Carlos França, Rua Consiglieri Pedroso and Praça da República, finishing at Terreiro Rainha Dona Amélia.

Supplies for the 10K Trail and Long Walk – 10K:
- Liquid and solid supplies at 5.6 km (*)
- Liquid and solid supplies at the finish line
(*) The liquid supplies provided on the route will be non-bottled water, for environmental reasons. Each athlete must bring their own flask, which can be refilled at this location.
Supplies for athletes outside the designated areas will not be allowed.
Family Walk Route 5K
The 5K event starts at Terreiro Rainha Dona Amélia and heads towards Volta do Duche and the main gate of Parque da Liberdade. At the second turning on the left, it exits through the Murtas gate and continues along Travessa Visconde Ouguela, Calçada dos Clérigos and Fonte da Sabuga to Largo Ferreira de Castro. It turns towards the Vila Sassetti gate, exits to the right halfway along towards Parque das Merendas, leaves through the access gate to Estrada da Pena, then turns right onto Azinhaga do Vale dos Anjos. It enters through the small gate of Quinta da Regaleira and continues along Avenida Almeida Garret, Largo Dr. Carlos França, Rua Consiglieri Pedroso and Praça da República, finishing at Terreiro Rainha Dona Amélia.

Supplies for the Family Walk 5K:

Duration
Trail 10K
- Maximum duration of 2h30, finishing at 11:30 PM.
However, all athletes taking more than 50 minutes to cover the first 5K of the Trail will be considered out of the race (cut-off time).
The cut-off time will be checked at the course confluence, next to the Church of Santa Maria, at 4.75 km.
Long Walk 10K
- Maximum duration of 4 hours, ending at 1:00 AM.
However, all participants taking more than 2 hours to cover the first 5K of the walk will be considered out of the race (cut-off time).
The cut-off time will be checked at the course confluence, next to the Church of Santa Maria, at 4.75 km.
Family Walk 5K
- Maximum duration of 2:30, ending at 12:00 AM.

The Organisation, in collaboration with police authorities, will manage traffic during the event, but does not take responsibility for any accidents or damage caused between participants or to third parties by participants.

Picking up of athlete kit on behalf of another athlete
The picking up of the participation kit on behalf of another participant is allowed, provided that the registration confirmation received in the email inbox after payment is presented.
If this registration confirmation is not presented, the identification document number of the registered person (ID Card, Citizen Card, Driving Licence) may be required.
NOTE:
When registering children born after 2014 for the 5K Family Walk, on the day of the event and at the time of collecting the starter kit, the child’s identification document (Citizen Card) will be requested to verify their age/year of birth. If it is found that the child was born before 2014, payment for the registration will be required (fee according to the registration date).
Without presenting the identification document, the kit will not be handed over.
Rankings
Trail 10K
Within 24 hours after the end of the event, the age group rankings will be published. These rankings are only used to position athletes within their age group according to their time and will not be used for prize allocation.
For age group ranking purposes, the chip time will be counted, meaning the time the athlete takes from crossing the start line until reaching the finish line.
The ranking for prize awarding will be based on the order of arrival of the first male and female athletes, regardless of their start times.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 male and female athletes in the overall classification of the Trail 10K, in each gender, regardless of age group, in a ceremony held after all awarded athletes have finished.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers, female and male, in each Trail 10 Km category, with award ceremonies taking place as the prize-winning athletes arrive.
All participants who finish the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K will receive a medal along with various other offers from sponsors.
An electronic participation diploma will be available for download on the event website for all athletes.
Prizes not collected during the official ceremony may be picked up at the Sports Division, located at Av. Movimento das Forças Armadas, n.º8 Portela de Sintra 2710-431 SINTRA / 219 236 120), by the recipient or a duly identified representative, until 28 July 2026. After this date, the prizes remain with the Organisation.
Cloakroom
The organisers provide a clearly marked area where participants can leave their belongings during the event.

Showers
On 11 July, after the event, those wishing to shower should go to Sport União Sintrense (Rua Pedro de Cintra 23, 2710-436 Sintra), located about 600m from the start/finish area. Showers will be available between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
The suggested parking locations require paid access.

01. Introduction
This regulation sets out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of all parties involved in the Organisation, participation, and execution of the Sporting Event.
The Sintra Town Council is organising the Sintra Trail Monte da Lua on 11 July 2026, at 9:00 PM. The 5 th edition of the event includes one competitive race and two walks:
- 10K Trail, competitive
- 10K Long Walk, recreational
- 5K Family Walk, recreational
All races start at Largo Rainha D. Amélia, next to the National Palace of Sintra. The Sintra Trail Monte da Lua routes are mainly urban, using streets, alleys, stairs, tunnels, monuments, gardens, viewpoints, bridges, and trails. The Sintra Trail Monte da Lua is predominantly an urban trail.
02. Organisers
The Sintra Trail Monte da Lua (hereinafter referred to as the “Event”) is jointly organised by the following entities:
- Sintra Town Council, legal entity no. 500 051 062, registered at the Lisbon Commercial Registry Office, with headquarters at Largo Dr. Virgílio Horta, 2714-501 Sintra.
- HMS Sports Consulting, Lda., legal entity no. 508 383 528, registered at the Cascais Commercial Registry Office, with headquarters at Rua Principal, no. 63, Bairro da Mina, 2785-163 São Domingos de Rana.
Hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Organisers”.
The above-mentioned entities are responsible for organising the Event, which is exclusively and obligatorily contested by duly registered and accepted participants, in accordance with the terms of this Regulation.

5K Family Walk

06. Race Time Limits
The races will have the following maximum duration:
10K Trail
Maximum duration of 2h30, finishing at 11:30 PM. However, all participants who take longer than 50 minutes to cover the first 5K of the Trail will be considered out of the race (cut-off time).
The cut-off time will be checked at the course confluence, next to the Church of Santa Maria, at 4.75 km.
10K Long Walk
Maximum duration of 4 hours, finishing at 1:00 AM. However, all participants who take longer than 2 hours to cover the first 5K of the walk will be considered out of the race (cut-off time).
The cut-off time will be checked at the course confluence, next to the Church of Santa Maria, at 4.75 km.
Any participant excluded from the event due to the time limit who wishes to continue on the route may do so under their own responsibility and autonomy, taking into account that the route markings may already have been removed. Before continuing, they must hand over their bib to the Organisation member present at the location.
5K Family Walk
Maximum duration of 2 hours 30 minutes, finishing at 12:00 AM.
07. Registration / Fees / Deadlines / Registration Limits / Ages
a) Registrations are open until 11 July 2026, unless sold out before the deadline. Registrations will be made online on a digital platform.
b) Fees:
- 10K Trail:
- Until 30 June 2026: €13.00
- From 1 to 11 July 2026: €15.00
- 10K Long Walk:
- Until 30 June 2026: €10.00
- From 1 to 11 July 2026: €12.00
- 5K Family Walk (*):
- Until 30 June 2026: €7.00
- From 1 to 11 July 2026: €9.00
(*) Registration for children born in 2014 or later for the 5K Family Walk, on the event date, is free of charge. When collecting the start kit, the child's identification document will be requested to verify their year of birth.
c) Payments may be made via multibanco reference, VISA or Mbway. Each reference is valid for a maximum of 72 hours. After this period, the reference expires and the participant must register again.
d) The Organisation may at any time suspend or extend deadlines, or add or limit event registrations based on technical/structural needs or availability, without prior notice.
Registration for the event is personal and non-transferable.
e) Registration limits:
- 10K Trail: 1,000 participants
- 10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk: 2,000 participants
Registrations will close once the defined limits are reached.
f) Ages:
- 10K Trail: participation is not permitted for athletes under 18 years old – 2008.
- 10K Long Walk: participation is not permitted for athletes under 10 years old – 2016. Children up to 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or adult responsible throughout the entire route, and the accompanying adult must be duly registered.
- 5K Family Walk: open to all ages.
Participants under 14 years old should check the insurance coverage in point 26 of these regulations.
g) The use of a torch/headlamp is mandatory in all events.
08. Athlete Kit
The athlete kit consists of:
- 10K Trail: a technical t-shirt in female or male fit (sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL), a chip, a race bib, safety pins, supplies, and access to changing rooms at the finish, about 600m away.
- 10K Long Walk: a technical t-shirt in female or male fit (sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL), a race bib, safety pins, supplies, and access to changing rooms at the finish.
- 5K Family Walk: a technical t-shirt in female or male fit (sizes XS, S, M, L, XL, and XXL) or children’s fit (ages 10, 12, and 14), a race bib, safety pins, supplies, and access to changing rooms at the finish.
The measurements (height x width) of the available t-shirt sizes, as described above, are:
The t-shirt size will be chosen in the registration form for the respective event (10K Trail, 10K Long Walk, and 5K Family Walk).
At the time of kit collection, no t-shirt size exchanges will be accepted.
If stock is available after the event, the Organisation will arrange exchanges.
09. Athlete Kit Collection
a) The athlete kit for the 10K Trail, 10K Long Walk, and 5K Family Walk will be delivered at Decathlon Sintra (R. República da Coreia, 2710-116 Sintra), during the following hours:
- 10 July 2026: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 11 July 2026: 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
b) Documents required to collect the athlete kit (*):
- Registration confirmation received by email after payment
c) Collection of the athlete kit on behalf of another athlete (*):
The collection of the participation kit on behalf of another participant is allowed, provided the registration confirmation of the athlete holding the bib, received by email after payment, is presented.
If not accompanied by this registration confirmation, the identification document number of the registered person (Identity Card, Citizen Card, Driver's Licence) may be required.
(*) For children born in 2014 or later participating in the 5K Family Walk, on the day of the event, at the time of kit collection, the child’s identification document (Citizen Card) will be requested to verify age / year of birth. If it is found the child was born before 2014, payment for registration (at the date’s applicable fee) will be requested. Without presenting identification, the kit will not be delivered.
10. Uncollected Kits Policy
The Organisation will keep all paid but uncollected kits for 15 days from the event date.
To collect an uncollected kit, the athlete must contact the Organisation using the available contact details.
After this period, all uncollected athlete kits will be donated to a social charity.
Finisher gifts are exclusive to participants who complete the course and cross the finish line wearing the official bib and chip for the 10K Trail, or those with bibs for the 10K Long Walk or 5K Family Walk.
11. Race Bib
The use of the bib is mandatory in the 10K Trail, 10K Long Walk, and 5K Family Walk.
The bib must be placed on the front of the t-shirt using the supplied pins.
The bib is personal and non-transferable.
The Organisation will disqualify any athletes who:
- Do not wear the bib
- Use another athlete’s bib
- Fold or tamper with the advertising on the bib.
Athletes without a bib will not be allowed on the course and will not have access to gifts.
The Organisation guarantees a personalised bib to all athletes who register and pay by 28 June 2026.
12. Race Certification / Timing System / Chip
10K Trail
The Organisation provides all registered participants who collect their bib with a timing system using a chip encoded for the athlete, personal and non-transferable. All athletes must use the chip provided in the athlete’s kit, which is attached to the back of the bib and must not be removed or detached.
The chip will only register if the bib is worn correctly. If the chip is removed or detached by the athlete, no classification will be given.
The chip is disposable and does not need to be returned after the race.
The Organisation is not responsible for any failure to present results caused by improper chip placement.
The Organisation will disqualify any athletes competing with:
- More than one chip
- A chip belonging to another athlete
- Male athletes wearing chips registered for female athletes and vice versa.
10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk
In the 10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk, there is no classification, so these events are not timed. However, after completing the event, athletes can obtain an electronic participation certificate from the official event website.
13. Results / 10K Trail
The age category results will be published within 24 hours after the race ends. These results serve only to rank athletes within their category based on their time and are not used for prize awarding.
For age category ranking, chip time will be used, i.e., the time taken by the athlete from crossing the start line until crossing the finish line.
The prize ranking will be based on the order of arrival of the first male and female athletes, regardless of their starting times.
14. Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 athletes in the overall classification of the 10K Trail, in each gender category, regardless of age group, during a ceremony held after all awarded athletes have finished.
Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers, female and male, in each Trail 10 Km category, with award ceremonies taking place as the prize-winning athletes arrive.
Prizes will be awarded based on absolute classification, i.e., by the order of arrival at the finish line, regardless of the athletes’ start times.
All participants who cross the finish line in the 10K Trail, 10K Long Walk, and 5K Family Walk will receive a medal, along with various other gifts from sponsors.
An electronic participation certificate will be available for download on the event website for all athletes.
Prizes not collected during the official ceremony can be picked up at the Sports Division, located at Av. Movimento das Forças Armadas, No. 8 Portela de Sintra 2710-431 SINTRA / 219 236 120, by the athlete or an authorised representative with proper identification, until 28 July 2026. After this date, unclaimed prizes become the property of the Organisation.
15. Participation Conditions
Participation in the race is open to all interested parties, regardless of nationality or gender, provided they are duly registered, according to the regulations and within the deadline.
In the 10K Trail, participation is not allowed for athletes under 18 years old.
In the 10K Long Walk, participation is not allowed for athletes under 10 years old.
The 5K Family Walk is open to all ages.
For the safety of all participants, people using bicycles, accompanied by animals, skateboards, roller skates, wheelchairs, or baby strollers are not allowed to participate.
It is also prohibited to accompany participants on the course with any type of vehicle, motorised or not.
The 10K route has a maximum elevation of 442 metres and a minimum of 210 metres, requiring athletes to have prior experience in this type of athletics variant, as well as good physical condition and proper management of physical and mental effort to complete the challenge.
The use of a headlamp is mandatory in all events.
Participants under 14 years old should consult the insurance coverage in item number 26 of these regulations.
16. Categories
10K Trail, 10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk
Categories are defined by gender and age, as shown in the table below:

(*) Categories are considered according to the calendar year in which athletes reach the stipulated ages.
Athletes assume the Veterans category on their 35th birthday, using 1991 as the reference year.
For classification and awards purposes, Junior athletes registered in the 10K Trail are included in the “Seniors” category.
In the 10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk, all athletes born after 2007 will be considered juniors.
On the day of the event, participants must carry an identification document (ID card, Citizen Card or Driving Licence) showing their date of birth, in case age verification is necessary.
17. Course Conditions
The organization commits to selecting the best possible routes, ensuring the safety of participants; however, it does not take responsibility for the surface conditions or any defects/obstacles on the racecourse. The routes are approved by the relevant official authorities.
18. Safety and Recommended Equipment
18.1 Mandatory Equipment for All Participants

- Race bib with participant number, which must be worn visibly on the front of the torso (The bib includes an emergency phone number to be used if necessary)

18.2 Recommended Equipment

- Spare batteries
- Water container or equivalent with a minimum capacity of 0.5 litres
- Cup with a minimum capacity of 150 ml

Recommended equipment – 10K Long Walk and 5K Family Walk:

- Water container or equivalent with a minimum capacity of 0.5 litres or
- Cup with a minimum capacity of 150 ml

The Organisation, in collaboration with the police authorities, will control traffic during the event, but accepts no responsibility for any accidents or damages caused between participants or to third parties by participants.
19. Unsportsmanlike Behaviour
The Organisation will disqualify any athlete who:
- Falsifies any information related to their registration
- Does not present themselves at the start line with the race bib and chip properly worn, according to points 11 and 12 of these regulations
- Shows poor physical condition
- Does not have a race bib
- Does not wear the race bib visibly on the front of the t-shirt in the locations specified by the Organisation
- Uses another athlete’s race bib
- Folds or manipulates the advertising on the race bib
- Misuses the chip provided
- Uses more than one chip
- Uses another athlete’s chip
- Does not follow the signage placed by the Organisation and/or jumps barriers at the start
- Does not complete the entire course
- Does not respect the instructions of the Organisation
- Displays unsportsmanlike behaviour (e.g. pushing or blocking that intentionally harms other athletes)
- Consumes doping substances
- Does not respect fellow athletes
The Organisation will not accept registrations from athletes who engage in unsportsmanlike practices in its events.
20. Doping Prohibition
Doping is prohibited for all athletes, both during and outside the Event.
Each athlete has the duty to ensure that no prohibited substance is introduced into their body or that they do not use any prohibited method.
Athletes are personally responsible for any prohibited substances or their metabolites or markers found in their biological samples, as well as for the use of any prohibited method.
21. Showers
The Organisation will provide showers at the end of the event, between 10:00 PM and 12:00 AM at Sport União Sintrense, located at Rua Pedro de Cintra 23, 2710-436 Sintra, approximately 600m from the start/finish area.
22. Safety and Medical Assistance on the Course
The police forces will be responsible for managing, planning, controlling, and eliminating unauthorized traffic during the events, as well as ensuring the safety of participants.
Vehicle traffic will be closed along the entire course with the advance notice set by the competent authorities. Traffic is expected to reopen from 1:00 AM onwards.
The event organisers will provide medical support with emergency ambulances during the course, start, and finish of the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K, and Family Walk 5K.
If further emergency medical care is necessary, it will be provided by the National Health Service under its responsibility.
The medical team will have the authority to remove from the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K, and Family Walk 5K any athlete deemed unfit to continue or who has received vital medical care during the event.
23. Eco-responsibility
Participants are required to behave responsibly regarding cleanliness and environmental preservation in all areas used for the event, from the course to the start and finish zones.
Littering on the ground before, during, and after the event is strictly prohibited. When applicable, participants must take care to keep packaging waste from food and drinks used during the event with them. At the end of the event and along the course, containers will be provided by the organisers for disposing of rubbish carried by the participants.
The organisers will provide appropriate bins for each type of waste: plastic, paper, and bio-waste. Failure to comply with this rule will result in immediate disqualification from the event and prohibition from participating in other events organised by the same entity.
24. Complaints
Any complaint must be submitted in writing to the organisers, either at the event location or after the event, to the email: desp.actividades@cm-sintra.pt
The organisers will appoint a Race Jury, composed of two members from the Organisation, who will decide on sanctions to apply and on all matters related to the event that have not been regulated or involve misinterpretations of these regulations.
25. Acceptance
By registering, all participants accept these regulations and, in case of doubt or any situation not covered herein, should inform the organisers.

25.1 Liability Waiver
Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K:
By registering, all participants declare to assume the following liability waiver:
- a) I have read and agree with the regulations of the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K, available at sintratrail.pt.
- b) I am aware of my health status and that I am physically and psychologically capable of participating.
- c) I commit to abstain from participating in the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K if my health conditions change after registration.
- d) I am aware of the current insurance policy terms and have read its specifications, detailed in the event regulations.
- e) By participating in the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K, I authorize, freely and unconditionally, the Câmara Municipal de Sintra, HMS Sports Consulting, Lda. and the event partners to use my image. By this instrument, I assign all rights to use my image, as captured in photos and videos taken during the event, waiving any payment derived from its use in promotional materials.
- f) I participate in the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K voluntarily, exempting Câmara Municipal de Sintra, HMS Sports Consulting, Lda., partners, directors, employees and other companies related to the event organization from any responsibility resulting from my participation in the Trail 10K, Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K, before, during, and after the event (e.g., loss of personal items due to theft or other circumstances).
Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K – minors:
By registering a child, parents, legal guardians, and/or custodians accept these regulations and, in case of doubt or a situation not covered herein, must inform the organisers.
The legal guardian declares to assume the following liability waiver, whereby they state that:
- a) I have read and agree with the regulations of the Long Walk 10K and Family Walk 5K, available at sintratrail.pt.
- b) I am aware of the health status of the minor under my care and their physical and psychological capability to participate.
- c) I commit not to allow the minor under my care to participate in the Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K if their health conditions change after registration.
- d) I am aware of the current insurance policy terms and have read its specifications, detailed in the event regulations.
- e) By participating in the Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K, I authorize freely and unconditionally the Câmara Municipal de Sintra, HMS Sports Consulting, Lda. and the event partners to use the image of the minor under my care. By this instrument, I assign all rights to use their image, as captured in photos and videos taken during the event, waiving any payment derived from its use in promotional materials.
- f) The minor under my care participates voluntarily, exempting Câmara Municipal de Sintra, HMS Sports Consulting, Lda., partners, directors, employees, and other companies related to the event organization from any responsibility resulting from the participation of my ward in the Long Walk 10K or Family Walk 5K, before, during, and after the event (e.g., loss of personal items due to theft or other circumstances).
25.2 Data Processing
Personal data will be processed automatically, under the terms approved by the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, by the event organization, the entity responsible for the data, intended exclusively for the provision of services necessary for participation in the event for which you register.
Data processing for communication about the event you register for, communication of other events and services from HMS Sports Consulting, and communication from HMS Sports Consulting partners is optional and subject to specific and express consent in the event registration form, always in compliance with Directive 95/46/EC of 27 April 2016.
Participants are guaranteed, under the same law, access to their data and may request in writing to the organization the update, correction, or deletion of their data.
Personal data collected for this event will be stored for two years and are accessible free of charge for consultation, rectification, or deletion via email geral@hmssports.pt
26. Insurance
Participants must meet the necessary health requirements for sports practice. By registering, they acknowledge they feel physically and psychologically prepared for the physical effort required by the event they will participate in.
All participants without exception must meet the necessary health requirements for sports practice, exempting the event organisers, partners, supporters and involved public entities from any liability.
Insurance activation requires payment of a €75 excess.
AGED 14 AND OVER
The event organisers provide registered participants with personal accident insurance, as per document CR/7/2013 (AAL Sports Insurance - 2013/2014 Season) covering death or permanent disability up to €31,672.04, medical expenses up to €5,067.53 and funeral costs up to €2,533.76.
UNDER 14 YEARS OLD
The event organisers provide registered participants with personal accident insurance, as per document CR/7/2013 (AAL Sports Insurance - 2013/2014 Season) covering death or permanent disability up to just 10% of €31,672.04, medical expenses up to €5,067.53 and funeral costs up to €2,533.76.
The Organisation is not responsible for situations not covered by this insurance.
27. Registration cancellation
The Organisation does not accept refunds of registration fees.
However, until 27 June 2026, participants may transfer their bib number and timing chip to another person provided they request this change formally in writing to the Organisation – suporte@hmssports.pt. If the participant fails to inform the Organisation of such transfer, the Organisation will not be responsible for any accident or damage that may occur to this athlete.
The Organisation only guarantees personalised bib numbers for athletes who complete registration transfers by 27 June.
28. Image rights transfer
By registering, the participant grants free and unconditional image rights to Sintra Town Council, HMS Sports Consulting, Lda. and their partners, authorizing the use of their image as captured in footage taken during the event, and permitting its reproduction in promotional materials.
29. Registration data transfer
Sintra Town Council and HMS Sports Consulting, Lda. reserve the right to use the database containing information provided by participants for their promotional activities.
Participants are given the option to not authorize the transfer of personal data collected during registration by selecting the appropriate option in the form.
30. Event cancellation policy
The event may be cancelled due to factors beyond the organisers' control: natural disasters, strikes, demonstrations, inability to use traffic routes, inability to use telecommunications, government restrictions, or new legislation.
In such cases, the organisers reserve the right to issue a statement within 30 days following the scheduled event date regarding the actions to be taken based on the severity of the cancellation.
31. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions of use of this website are governed by current Portuguese legislation.
Any conflict or dispute of interpretation shall be submitted to the territorially competent court. If the User resides outside Portugal, the Portuguese courts are hereby agreed as the competent jurisdiction.
